How to install the LED tube?

1. Wiring of newly installed LED tubes

If the newly installed LED tube is double-ended, as long as the lamp holder at both ends of the LED tube is directly connected to the live wire and neutral line of the 220V power supply. If it is single-ended, the input terminal can be connected to the neutral wire and the live wire respectively.

2. Replacement of the wiring of the LED tube

Generally speaking, the replacement LED tube cannot be directly installed on the original bracket and needs to be modified to a certain extent.

In general, there are two types:Replacement of fluorescent lamps driven by inductive ballasts and fluorescent lamps driven by electronic ballasts

What is Ballast?

A ballast is a component that is connected between a power supply and one or more discharge lamps and is mainly used to limit the current of the lamp to a required value. It may include devices that change the supply voltage and/or frequency to increase the power factor. That is, it can be used alone or together with the starter to provide the necessary conditions for the start-up of the lamp.

From the working principle, it can be divided into: inductive ballast and electronic ballast

2.1 Fluorescent lamps driven by inductive ballasts

Generally, the original starter should be canceled.

First of all, disconnect the power supply switch at home to ensure that there is no power supply in the room, cancel the starter (the small cylindrical one); open the shell of the original lamp bracket; cut the connecting wire of the starter (wrap it with insulating tape when disconnected); do a good job of insulation measures to prevent leakage; cover the iron shell cover, and then install the LED tube.

2.2 Fluorescent lamps driven by electronic ballasts

Generally, the original electronic ballast should be eliminated.

First of all, disconnect the power supply switch at home to ensure that there is no power supply in the room. Open the shell of the original lamp bracket, remove the electronic ballast, take insulation measures to prevent leakage, and connect the live wire and neutral wire of 220V power supply to the left and right ends respectively.

Installation method:

1. Fix the two buckles on the wall with screws, and then press the LED tube into the buckle to fix the tube;

2. Connect the input line of the power supply to the 220V and ground wire respectively according to the live wire, neutral wire, and ground wire;

3. Insert the power terminal wire into the corresponding socket of the lamp.

Special note: During the installation of LED tubes, they cannot be operated with electricity!
